Trinity Sixth form induction day was another great success this year.

On Friday 8th September, students travelled to Keele University.

The day started with Mass celebrated together in reverence and honour. Students then went on to watch 2engage, a performing arts company based in Chester. They were highly engaging and increased awareness of UK higher education and its many benefits.

An inspirational talk by Nicola Minichiello, World Bobsleigh Champion and triple Olympic champion gave much food for thought and a very interesting lecture on the physics of space travel had students jumping out of their seats when they witnessed rocket fuel being burnt in front of them.

The day also provided year 12 with an opportunity to get to know each other before they travel between Trinity schools. During lunchtime they could visit a small education fair specifically for them to get information from local universities as they look to the future.

Good luck year 12! You have a great journey in front of you with the Trinity Sixth Form.

A massive congratulations to our Gold Award group who undertook a four day practice expedition in the Dark Peak on Wednesday 6th September – Saturday 9th September. They started and finished at Edale, walking to three different campsites within the area. They had to be self sufficient for all four days and whilst they met this challenge full on, the four days of rain did make life a little more difficult at times.

They are now preparing for their Assessed expedition which will take place on Monday 9th -Friday 13th October in Snowdonia.
