Trinity Sixth Form Mobile Policy

Trinity Sixth Form at St John Fisher Catholic College

Mobile phone policy

Use of phones outside of lesson time

It is important that learners display courtesy, consideration and respect for KS3 and KS4 learners whenever they are using a mobile phone.

Therefore they should not be seen using a mobile phone anywhere other than in the 6th form centre. Otherwise the BfL policy on use of mobile phones will be implemented.

The SSW will also monitor use of mobile phones in the Sixth Form centre.

Use of phones during lessons.

There are times when it is genuinely appropriate and beneficial for learners to have access to a mobile phone during lessons or registration time as it will be relevant and contribute to the learning environment.

This is only allowed when authorised by the classroom teacher, in agreement with the Headteacher. Otherwise mobile phones should be switched off and out of sight.

If a Trinity Sixth Form learner uses a mobile phone when not authorised to do so, then staff will implement the school BfL policy on use of mobile phones.
