YEAR 11 PARENTS EVENING – Wednesday 30th January

YEAR 11 PARENTS EVENING – Wednesday 30th January

Dear Parent,

You are warmly invited to this evening to discuss your child’s progress.

In order to make the event as efficient as possible we use an appointment system.  Your son/ daughter should bring the appointment form to each member of staff whom you wish to meet and they will fill in a time.  Please ensure that your child is aware of any part of the evening which is inconvenient for you, so that those times can be avoided.  When making appointments we would suggest keeping 5 minutes between each appointment to allow you time to find the teacher.

The evening will officially commence at 3:30pm and the last appointment is at 6:00 pm.

Mrs Teague, the Progress leader for Year 11, will have the majority of her appointment slots filled by students in her Year 11 classes.  Therefore if you require an appointment with Mrs Teague it would be best to make one on an alternative date. Mrs Madden and members of the Senior Leadership Team will be available on the evening if you have a specific concern.  It would help us to see as many parents as possible if interviews were kept to a maximum of five minutes.  If you are unable to be accommodated by all the staff you wish to see, please contact Mrs Teague and she will arrange a time for you.

Staff from “Entrust” careers will only be here if appointments are made with them.  If you wish to make an appointment to see them, your son/daughter must see Mrs. Edwards during registration time for the appointment to be confirmed.

  1. We actively encourage the attendance of pupils in order for them to be part of the discussions. Pupils should wear school uniform.
  2. Car parking is limited and parents are asked to use the school playground so that staff can use their usual spaces. Parents Evening will be held in the hall.  Parents are requested to enter via the hall door near entrance gate.
  3. We need to keep a record of parent consultations and so would be grateful if you “signed in” when arriving at the Parent Evening. We may also ask you to complete a questionnaire as part of our own quality assurance monitoring.

Yours sincerely

Mr M Stevens
