I am pleased to be able to provide details about Year 10 and Year 12 returning safely to school. The Senior Leadership team is satisfied that we can meet the Government guidelines to facilitate face to face support for Year 10 and Year 12 learners from 8th June if the Government and our Local Governing Body deem that it is safe to do so at the time.
I hope that you and your families are keeping safe and well. As a school community, we have been sadly affected by deaths and illness of family members and friends. Please continue to pray with me and our whole school community for those affected by illness and bereavement at present.
A temporary extension for entitlement to free school meals has been agreed for some additional categories of pupils. This extension is from 21 April 2020 until schools reopen to all pupils. Applications under the four categories below only should be made
Paediatricians want to send out a clear message to parents and carers: ‘If your child is very unwell, we want to see them – we don’t want parents to wait or to worry’.
Children generally do NOT suffer serious illness as a result of COVID 19. This applies to even our most vulnerable children, yet some of the conditions that children will become ill with are far more serious.
I want to thank you and our amazing learners again for your support and prayers over what has been a difficult term in so many ways. We have enjoyed many successes through our brilliant learners’ achievements, but these sadly pale into insignificance with the developments that we see on a daily basis.
I understand how unsettling the past weeks have been for you, since the announcement that exams have been cancelled this summer, and that you are urgently waiting for news. I wanted to let you know what we are doing to provide you with grades.
I would like to thank you for your support and patience during these difficult circumstances. They have certainly been challenging for us all but it is the love, care and kindness we show to each other that can help us overcome these uncertain times.
Dear parent / carer I would like to thank all families and colleagues during these difficult days. Our Catholic school community is a very special community indeed. I would like to thank all of you for your understanding and concern for others over the last few weeks-this is testament to our wonderful learners and their families. We are a community built on love, joy and faith. At this time, it is so important to draw upon love and faith in our lives.
Good Lord, set me to be a strong and mighty pillar
For your true Church.
I pray for all Christians and people of faith around the world
Who face persecution and discrimination.
Help me each and every day Lord to have an open
heart for people less fortunate than me and to be thankful for everything I have.
St John Fisher, pray for us
