I am pleased to be able to provide details about Year 10 and Year 12 returning safely to school. The Senior Leadership team is satisfied that we can meet the Government guidelines to facilitate face to face support for Year 10 and Year 12 learners from 8th June if the Government and our Local Governing Body deem that it is safe to do so at the time.
Paediatricians want to send out a clear message to parents and carers: ‘If your child is very unwell, we want to see them – we don’t want parents to wait or to worry’.
Children generally do NOT suffer serious illness as a result of COVID 19. This applies to even our most vulnerable children, yet some of the conditions that children will become ill with are far more serious.
I want to thank you and our amazing learners again for your support and prayers over what has been a difficult term in so many ways. We have enjoyed many successes through our brilliant learners’ achievements, but these sadly pale into insignificance with the developments that we see on a daily basis.
Dear parent / carer I would like to thank all families and colleagues during these difficult days. Our Catholic school community is a very special community indeed. I would like to thank all of you for your understanding and concern for others over the last few weeks-this is testament to our wonderful learners and their families. We are a community built on love, joy and faith. At this time, it is so important to draw upon love and faith in our lives.
Thank you for your patience as we make arrangements for setting work for the majority of our learners who will be working at home. Overnight, the Government has produced further guidance regarding the closure of educational settings, including additional detail regarding the professions classed as ‘critical workers’.
Good Lord, set me to be a strong and mighty pillar
For your true Church.
I pray for all Christians and people of faith around the world
Who face persecution and discrimination.
Help me each and every day Lord to have an open
heart for people less fortunate than me and to be thankful for everything I have.
St John Fisher, pray for us
